COLUMBUS JEWISH ORGANIZATIONS
JCC
The JCC: where people of all backgrounds gather, connect, and find friendship. We are committed to strengthening the body, mind and soul of the over 400,000 community members engaging with us annually. For over 100 years, the Jewish Community Center (JCC) of Greater Columbus has been at the heart of the Columbus Jewish community and the Bexley neighborhood.
JEWISH FAMILY SERVICES
Jewish Family Services is an organization rooted in a rich history of Jewish values and more than 3800 years of experience. We help people in the two most important aspects of their lives: family and work. Through a unique combination of mental health and workforce development services, we help people and families become stronger. We prepare people for jobs. We help them to be self-sufficient, both emotionally and financially.
COLUMBUS JEWISH HISTORICAL SOCIETY
The Columbus Jewish Historical Society preserves the stories, artifacts, images, and heritage of the Jewish communities of Central Ohio.
Founded in 1981, CJHS was created to collect important documents, photographs, memorabilia, and artifacts related to the 180 years of permanent Jewish settlement in the region and to organize, preserve, and disseminate our history to future generations. Toward the goal of disseminating our history, CJHS organizes and sponsors programs throughout the year on local history and genealogy, and regularly partners with area synagogues and other history organizations to preserve and promote Central Ohio’s Jewish heritage.
