CONSERVATIVE/REFORM SYNAGOGUES
Congregation Agudas Achim was founded in 1881 and is a pillar of the Columbus Jewish community. We are a traditional-egalitarian synagogue.
We are first and foremost, a community of families and individuals of all levels of Jewish knowledge and observance.
In addition to our weekday, Shabbat and Yom Tov religious services, we provide opportunities for children, teens and adults to explore their Jewish heritage through programs of formal and informal education. As a community, we are there to celebrate one another’s joyous life-cycle events and support each other through the inevitable difficult times we all experience sooner or later.
TEMPLE ISRAEL
Tifereth Israel is an open and accepting community for all Jews and their loved ones, and we strive to embrace both Jewish and non-Jewish family members alike. We are committed to creating an egalitarian environment that is actively welcoming to all, regardless of race, ethnicity, age, gender identity, sexual orientation, socioeconomic status, and physical or mental disability. No one is ever turned away due to financial hardship.
Together, we’re building a warm and loving space that holds us in moments of joy and sadness, fosters a deep sense of meaning and spirituality, and points us toward the profound wisdom that Jewish life and practice have to offer us. We hope you’ll join us in this sacred work.
